Ken brings extensive experience from the institutional investment world, with a career spanning proprietary trading, portfolio management, and hedge fund leadership. Prior to joining GFP Private Wealth, he served as Co-Head of Proprietary Trading at Goldman Sachs and later founded and served as Managing Partner of Newland Capital Management, a $1.3 billion long/short and event-driven hedge fund. Earlier in his career, Ken worked in institutional sales and long/short equity portfolio management roles, including positions with Galleon Group and Balyasny Asset Management. His background in active investment management and risk oversight informs his perspective when working with clients, particularly in aligning portfolio strategy with long-term objectives.
Ken values time with family and an active lifestyle. He and his wife have three grown children, and he enjoys staying active through pickleball and other recreational pursuits.
